- Design Data solutions at scale with best practices and leading industry tools
- Support cost management efforts in auditing existing data systems and provide support in shifting fabric data decisions to account for efficiency, cost and scale
- Work with Product Managers to create data systems and solutions to satisfy product and customer needs
- Work with Engineering Managers to improve fabric Data infrastructure and design
- Work with Software engineers, QA and other technical members to deliver effective solutions by owning data design and delivery
- Meet complex project times that include product, program and engineering deliverables
- Contribute to planning, design, implementation and improvement of fabric data solutions
- Debug and identify data issues in existing systems to inform and implement corrective actions
- Provide advice, insights and knowledge on solutions and approaches
- Optimize and manage databases, data warehouses, and big data platforms.
- Implement and maintain data security and governance practices.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data processes and pipelines.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering and big data.
What you bring to the table:
- You have a strong theoretical understanding of data design
- You have experience with SQL and NoSQL technologies
- You have experience with AWS or other cloud providers to host, secure and scale data solutions
- You have built Data Pipelines for advanced analytics and/or Machine Learning needs
- You have experience working with a wide range of data storage approaches such as data lakes and data warehouses
- You have experience advising engineer managers in appropriate data solutions to customer needs
- You work well with multi-disciplinary teams in product-driven organizations
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering
- A degree in Computer Science or similar
