Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into data cloud platform
- Implement and optimize batch and real-time data processing workflows
- Design and develop scalable data models and schemas, ensuring they are optimized for performance and meet business requirements.
- Implement data warehousing solutions using Snowflake Platform
- Build and manage data pipeline using Fivetran to ingest large volumes of data from both internal applications and external data sources.
- Implement and maintain data security measures, including access controls and data encryption, to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and organizational policies.
- Assess the costs associated with operating the data platform and offer recommendations for data platform licensing expenses.
- Responsible for safeguarding confidential information.
Location
This role is open to candidates working in Bengaluru, Ind (hybrid).
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Snowflake certification plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or a related field
- Data Transformation: Hands-on experience using tools like dbt (Data Build Tool) for building and managing data transformation pipelines.
- Demonstrated proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations on Snowflake platform.
- Experience with data integration tools such as Fivetran, including configuring, managing, and troubleshooting data ingestion processes.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Azure Synapse, including designing and optimizing data models and managing data structures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working experience with version control platforms, e.g. GitHub, and agile methodologies and supporting tools JIRA.
- Experience with AWS and cloud technologies a plus.
Physical And Mental Requirements
