Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with a focus on Compliance in the AML-MLS domain to join our project delivery team as a Hadoop Developer. This senior role requires an in-depth understanding of Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, and Unix Shell Scripting, as well as AML functional knowledge to support our Anti-Money Laundering initiatives. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proficient in data integration, and possess knowledge of data processes related to AML-MLS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows within the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive) to support AML-MLS processes.
• Create and manage scripts using Unix Shell Scripting (ksh, perl) to facilitate data integration, automation, and project delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure AML data quality, compliance, and consistency.
• Work on data integration tasks and support various aspects of the AML data engineering lifecycle.
• Implement SQL-based data solutions with MariaDB or Oracle DB, ensuring efficient data retrieval, storage, and compliance with AML standards.
• Deploy and manage applications using Jboss to ensure effective data processing for compliance needs.

Qualifications:

Must-Have Skills:

• Hadoop (BigData, HDFS, Hive): Solid experience in using Hadoop, especially HDFS and Hive.
• Unix Shell Scripting: Proficiency with ksh, perl, and other relevant scripting languages.
• SQL: Experience with MariaDB or Oracle databases for data retrieval and storage.
• Integration Experience: Strong understanding of data integration and experience in integrating data from various sources for AML-MLS purposes.
• AML-MLS Knowledge: Basic understanding of AML-MLS processes and compliance requirements.

Good to Have:

• Familiarity with Java and Python for data manipulation and analysis.
• Knowledge of PL/SQL.
• Functional knowledge of AML and related compliance practices.

Requirements:

• Data-Focused Role: This role focuses solely on data engineering and integration; candidates focused primarily on ETL development are not ideal.
• Hive Knowledge: Basic experience with Hive is essential.
• Understanding of AML Processes: Must possess a working knowledge of AML-MLS processes, including data handling and compliance requirements.
