About the Role:
Job Title: Data Engineer
Work Location: Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Vadodara (Hybrid work)
Description:
Responsibilities:
- Being extremely agile in developing and maintaining world-class enterprise-grade ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Transform raw data into scalable, performant data models that would be consumed by data analysts and data scientists.
- Design, build, and update foundational analytics data models that simplify analyses across the products.
- Implement best practices to ensure high quality, robust data including but not limited to Data monitoring and Alerting, DQ frameworks, regression methodologies
- Develop, schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot production-level DAGs with orchestration software, preferably Airflow
- Develop automated solutions to reduce manual effort wherever possible
- Thoroughly reviews and documents code changes and orchestrates deployments
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or related technical discipline
- Minimum of 8+ (6+ years with a Master's) years experience working in a data engineering role focused in Finance Analytics
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient with transactional Python and while not required analytical Python too
- Advanced SQL ability including dimensional modeling and data model design
- Proficiency in data principles, system and data architecture, and dimensional data modeling
- Experience developing orchestration/scheduling jobs (preferably Airflow)
- Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and Spark
- Previous hands-on professional experience working with finance metrics, data, and systems
- Experience with dbt is preferred
