Job Description

The primary responsibility will include to provide technical assistance to the SIMU division of TGSACS, ACCELERATE proposes to hire a position of data analyst. The position is based at Telangana State AIDS Control Society (TGACS) and the incumbent needs to work closely with the strategic information and management unit (SIMU) division of TGSACS. The incumbent works under the direction of the head of SIMU division of TGSACS, under the leadership of the Project Director, TGACS. Administratively the position reports to the Deputy Program Manager, YRG CARE, ACCLERATE and work in close collaboration with the State Program Management Unit (SPMU), ACCELERATE, Telangana.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical support to the SIMU division to develop/strengthen and implement the monitoring and evaluation systems for tracking program activities and results, as per NACO guidelines.
Technical assistance (TA) in strengthening and organizing data collection systems so that routine data collection employs standardized forms and aggregation procedures.
TA in cleaning the data including line list from facilities.
TA to SIMU division in maintaining the database, support utilization of data for decision making and disseminating information.
Work closely with SIMU division in data analysis, data visualization by using tools such as power BI or Tableau and geo-mapping tools.
Coordinate with the NACP facilities under the guidance of SIMU division and provide TA in effective utilization of SOCH / online data management systems.
Technical support to SIMU division in developing tools for collecting, validating, monitoring, and evaluating the data, over and above the NACO tools, as directed by the Project Director, TGSACS.
TA in capacity building of all staff of NACP facilities on monitoring systems and data utilization.
Provide regular updates on project progress against key performance indicators to the state team for planning, monitoring, review and reporting.
Demonstrate the highest degree of integrity throughout all activities, and raise any concerns with implementation quality immediately to SACS / DAPCU
Any other tasks as required by the project and as assigned by the Project Director, TGSACS from time to time.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

Bachelor degree, preferably in social sciences or epidemiology or other relevant fields.
At least 3 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation / data analysis area under HIV sector / health.
Expertise in statistical packages and tools such as SPSS/ Stata / Power BI / Tableau.
Experience of managing individual tracking systems across the HIV continuum of prevention, care, treatment and viral suppression
Experience in implementing real-time monitoring systems for data entry, analysis and storage of quantitative data
Highly developed conceptual, analytical and innovative problem-solving ability
Ability to establish priorities and to plan, coordinate and monitor tasks
Good time management and willingness to work occasional long hours and travel to the field as required
Ability to independently and proactively work as a team member with minimum day-to-day oversight
Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated and result-driven, with ability to effectively build and manage networks and relationships for program improvement and stakeholder management.
