Data Analytics Specialist with Power BI Expertise

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analytics Specialist with extensive experience in Power BI to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, creating insightful reports and dashboards, and providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. This role requires a combination of strong analytical skills, proficiency in Power BI, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, and analyse large data sets from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop, design, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize data in a user-friendly and informative manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data analysis and reporting.
- Perform data validation and ensure the accuracy and reliability of data presented in reports.
- Use statistical methods and data mining techniques to solve complex business problems.
- Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in written reports.
- Continuously improve data collection and analysis processes to enhance data quality and efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data analytics and Power BI.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related role.
- Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) is a plus.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling.
- Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
- Experience in a specific industry (e.g., finance, healthcare, retail) relevant to the company's focus.
