We are on the search for a dedicated Analyst to join our Marketing Operations team. As a Marketing Operations Analyst at Aptean, your responsibilities will span a variety of tasks aimed at analyzing and reporting on marketing programs across numerous channels. A key part of your role will be leveraging Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to mine insightful data on web performance metrics, crucial for optimizing user experiences and conversion rates. Specifically, your expertise in GA4 will be vital in strategically driving our Account-Based Marketing (ABM) campaign efforts.

You will analyze campaign performance through our CRM (Salesforce) using SQL, helping to craft data-driven narratives that propel the marketing and sales teams forward. Moreover, your role will include enhancing our data infrastructure by identifying new data sources, ensuring our insights are powered by the most comprehensive and relevant data available. This also encompasses helping keep our existing reporting up-to-date and as accurate as possible.

Report/Dashboard Creation and Expertise: As an Analyst in Marketing Operations, your role will be pivotal in leveraging your analytical skills and business intelligence acumen to craft and refine reports and dashboards. You will focus extensively on Google Analytics 4 (GA4), along with other core systems like Power BI, SFDC, SQL, and Bizible to draw actionable insights. Your adeptness in data modeling, reporting, and dashboarding, especially with a deep understanding of GA4 data, will be essential in delivering visualizations that cater to our strategic needs, particularly in enhancing our Account-Based Marketing (ABM) campaigns.

Routine Reporting and Strategic Analysis: Your responsibilities will include managing routine reporting with an emphasis on extracting strategic insights from GA4 to inform our ABM initiatives. You will build and implement automated solutions for weekly and monthly reports analyzing the marketing ecosystem's performance, such as funnel metrics, pipeline, and marketing program effectiveness. Your role will extend beyond routine reporting to develop data solutions and KPI tracking for all marketing and sales across the globe. By establishing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, you will facilitate insightful communication around reports, focusing on what information best empowers decision makers.

Ad Hoc Analysis and ABM Insight Generation: In this role, you will conduct ad hoc analyses with a strong focus on digital channels and the performance of ABM campaigns, leveraging GA4 data to provide deep insights that lead to action. This includes evaluating cost-per-lead, conversion rates, and performance against objectives. You will maintain effective communication with the Marketing Operations team to keep them informed of progress and any challenges encountered.

Data Source Integration and Interaction: You'll further enhance our data infrastructure by identifying and integrating new data sources. This function is integral to ensuring that our data pool continues to drive robust decisions across our Marketing and Sales departments. You'll interact with internal customers across functions as needed, and over time, your role will evolve to include regular communication with various stakeholders. Your efforts in expanding our data comprehensiveness will ensure that our decisions are data-driven and that our strategies align with our broader organizational goals while staying ahead of the technology curve.

  • Utilize professional expertise in business intelligence and creative problem-solving skills to generate and adjust reports and dashboards in core systems such as Power BI, SFDC, and Google Data Studio (Looker).
  • Apply deep knowledge of data modeling, reporting, and internal dashboarding to ensure that visualizations and insights meet user needs.
  • Identify and execute automated solutions for routine weekly and monthly reports across the entire Marketing Ecosystem, including funnel performance, pipeline, and marketing program performance.
  • Develop data solutions and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking measures across Sales and Marketing departments, fostering communication with key stakeholders about reporting and insights that helps improve our performance.
  • Handle ad hoc requests related to digital channels and marketing programs, providing critical insights through robust data analysis, such as cost-per-lead, conversion rates, and actual versus planned performance.
  • Exercise a high degree of autonomy in determining approaches to critical assignments, while maintaining strong communication with the AVP of Marketing Operations to ensure transparency on progress and issues.
  • Enhance data infrastructure and expand the comprehensiveness of our data by identifying and integrating new data sources, which will ensure that our decisions across Marketing and Sales departments are data-driven and align with broader organizational strategies and goals.
  • Engage and interact with internal customers across different functions as needed, with an expectation of an evolving role that includes regular communication with various stakeholders.

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for comprehensive tracking, analyzing, and reporting on user behavior and campaign performance. Experience working in a tech setting or rapidly growing company is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Salesforce (SFDC), Bizible, acquired over at least 2 years, showcasing a strong ability to derive actionable insights from complex data sets.
  • A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated expertise in data modeling and analysis, with a solid background in establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing and sales effectiveness.
  • Proven track record, with at least 3 years of experience, in automating routine reports and creating dashboards to assess marketing ecosystem performance, including funnel analytics and pipeline growth.
  • At least 2 years of experience handling ad hoc analytical requests, providing deep insights into digital marketing efficiency, lead generation tactics, and conversion rate optimization.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills honed over at least 3 years, with a history of effectively aligning data insights with broader business objectives across sales and marketing teams.
  • Experience in integrating new data sources into the marketing data infrastructure, enhancing data accuracy and decision-making capabilities across marketing and sales departments.
  • Familiarity with marketing and sales CRM systems, with at least 2 years of experience leveraging these tools for efficient ABM or digital campaign tracking and performance analysis.
  • A proactive and innovative problem-solving approach, with at least 3 years of experience in proposing and implementing strategies to improve marketing operations and campaign outcomes through data-driven insights.
