Summary
The Ratings Division is looking to hire a Sr. Dashboard Solution Engineer to perform hands-on development of the IT dashboards. S&P Global SRE team in the Ratings Divisions consists of geographically diversified platform and data engineers, responsible to develop scalable solutions by working directly with support and business value stream teams. Impact
You will enable S&P ratings management teams and solution engineering teams to provide action-oriented and feature-rich dashboards. The insights of these dashboards will further enhance the RCA process and provide feedback to development teams with the analysis of the customer experience.

Responsibilities
- Participate in the design, development, and implementation of S&P-selected dashboard solutions, namely but not limited to Splunk Observability Cloud (SOC).
- Interact with teams and data owners to understand, analyze and design dashboard solutions based on their requirements.
- Work closely with the monitoring team and application teams to develop solutions for dashboard data ingestion, data export, and data aggregation in the SOC.
- Provide dashboard support by interacting with teams and advocating the usage of SOC for monitoring, testing and RCA process.
- Troubleshoot Dashboard issues and provide timely solutions to these issues.
- Work with software vendors to request features, fix bugs, and handle software upgrades and data source changes.
- Maintain versions, backups, and health of the custom-developed scripts
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of experience in IT Engineering
- Strong knowledge of advanced IT monitoring concepts
- Have strong programming skills in Java, Python, PromQL, SPL, shell script
- Experience in dashboard best practices and design patterns
- Experience in monitoring implementations such as Splunk, Prometheus, OTEL
- Experience in one of the public cloud providers AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Comfortable using Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools, Git
- At least 3+ years of experience working on software engineering projects
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, Java (or) Python (or) Shell.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in large teams and interact with both technical and business teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of Software Engineering principles and best practices
- Experience working in an environment/team that uses Agile/Scrum methodology
