Key Responsibilities Teach dance techniques, styles, and choreography to students of various skill levels.
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to help students improve their performance.
Create and choreograph dance routines for performances, recitals, or competitions.
- Adapt choreography to suit the skill levels and abilities of the students.
Manage and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Implement effective classroom management techniques to ensure a focused and productive atmosphere.
Attend to the individual needs of students, offering assistance and support as required.
- Assessment and Progress Tracking:
Evaluate and assess students progress through regular assessments and feedback.- Keep records of student attendance, achievements, and areas for improvement.
Communicate with students and their parents/guardians regarding class schedules, performances, and any relevant updates.- Collaborate with other dance teachers and staff to ensure a coordinated and cohesive dance program.
- Professional Development:
Stay updated on current trends, techniques, and developments in the field of dance.- Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills.
Bachelor's degree in dance or a related field (preferred).- Professional dance experience or relevant certifications.
Previous teaching experience is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
