We are seeking a Cyber Security Intern to join our dynamic team. This role will involve working closely with our IT and security teams to help safeguard our data collection processes and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Support the maintenance and updating of security systems and tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security awareness and practices.
Requirements - Currently pursuing a degree in Cyber Security Intern, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of network security, firewalls, and encryption.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Skills - Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).
- Understanding of protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S).
- Experience with cybersecurity tools (e.g., Wireshark, Metasploit, Nessus).
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.
- Knowledge of programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
