Responsibilities
- Supervising and managing the Cybersecurity Operations team.
- Developing and implementing strategies for protecting information systems and confidential data.
- Ensuring the effectiveness of security measures and incident response.
- Leading collaboration with cross-functional teams and planning and executing security initiatives.
- Providing guidance and support to a team of cybersecurity experts.
- Overseeing the implementation and maintenance of security operational processes (detection engineering, digital forensics, incident response, threat intelligence).
- Ensuring swift response and mitigation preparations for cybersecurity incidents.
- Assessing and reporting cybersecurity risks and recommending appropriate measures.
- Collaborating with other teams (security assurance, security infrastructure, cloud, BSS, OSS, management, stakeholders).
Experience And Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience as a security professional prior to management.
- 5 years of experience managing a team of engineering or security operations professionals for a distributed organization.
- Experience with Networking Protocols, Network Security, and Cloud Security.
- Experience managing a team of engineers on large-scale projects.
- Ability to prioritize and manage across multiple time-sensitive initiatives.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, and third-party vendors.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
- Professional security certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, or CEH
- Been a mentor to other team members to improve knowledge of the team
