About The Role & Team
Join our dynamic team as a member of the border management's architecture team and provide consulting services to the product and customer delivery teams, helping with guidance throughout the design and development process of our business opportunities. You will also be designing and developing solution architectures to meet business requirements and provide value for money. The ability to be hands-on and support product and project delivery and transition work is important in addition to an architecture and design role.
As a member of the architecture team, you will be collaborating on the technology planning strategy direction and design choices within solutions used to meet the business requirements of SITA customers. This includes providing guidance support and advice in the proposal implementation and deployment for any new or existing product developments as part of a customer solution.
What You'll Do
As a Customer Solution Engineer, you will work closely with other members of the Engineering team, supporting, and contributing to all aspects of the role, including:
- Design/coordinate development of standard solutions which may involve multiple parties both internally and externally to meet customer requirements.
- Support account teams or competency centers during the pre-contract phases (qualification proposals and contract) with technical designs and advice.
- Provide the technical parts of proposals submitted to customers through knowledge of current new or evolving technologies and SITA solution portfolios.
- Promote SITA by furnishing customers with comprehensive up-to-date information on current products, product enhancements and new solutions through customer meetings and workshops.
- Facilitate designs to be efficiently implemented Right the First Time (RFT) and supported operationally.
- Collaborate with colleague to gain and share ideas and opportunities.
- Account for designing solutions for programs in accordance with business strategies, standards, and processes.
- Ensure designs in compliance with Industry standards and architectural plans.
- Lead and coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs) involved with solution design and subsequent implementation.
- Work with the architects, development, and products engineering teams within the SITA Government business unit to products successful customer designs.
- Assess the viability and value of new technologies and patterns, working to ensure we align with the business's technical aims for scalability and growth.
- Understanding of system security
Qualifications
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- 3-5 years of experience in Information Technology, Telecom Industry or Air Transport Industry technology in a technical pre-sales role or lead architect role
- BS level Technical Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering Computer Technologies.
- Experienced in designing, integrating, and managing software solutions
- Have a background in working in a systems integration industry
- Proven track record in producing communicating and documenting successful technical customer solutions
- Pre-Sales Business and or Commercial experience is a plus
- A willingness to keep up to date with developments in new technology
- An understanding of information legislation, such as the Data Protection Act and GDPR.
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the end to end solution
- Deliver and ensure quality assurance against the design during the project phases.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
- Problem-solving and good analytical skills
