Primary Responsibilities:
The SME is expected to:
- Assist in building a comprehensive General Knowledge curriculum for primary and middle grades.
- Understand student needs and create engaging and compelling content for effective and sustained learning.
- Develop teacher resources including test papers, lesson plans, presentations, teaching aids, and video lectures.
- Work closely with pedagogues to design age-appropriate content and assessment questions.
- Ensure quality control of the content by proofreading and editing manuscripts.
Essential Skills
- :In-depth knowledge of a broad range of General Knowledge topics
- .Conceptual understanding of how students learn and retain general knowledge
- .Hands-on practice of integrating experiential teaching methods and activities in the content
- .Experience in integrating tenets of National Education Policy in designing student-learning experiences
- .Willingness to learn and create alternatives to traditional methods of creating and curating content
- .Sound knowledge of the Taxonomy of learning and its implementation in planning teaching-learning experiences and designing resources
- .Well-honed communication skills (written and verbal)
.Qualification
- :Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Studies, History, Geography, Political Science)
- .Deep understanding of General Knowledge as a subject for K10
- .At least 2 years of experience in creating/curating signature content
- .Classroom teaching experience would be an added advantage
