Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Curriculum Developer to lead the development, assessment, and continuous improvement of our curriculum for both Makoons Play School and Makoons World School. This role will focus on creating an engaging, age-appropriate curriculum that meets diverse learning needs and aligns with national and global educational standards. The position requires travel to various locations to oversee curriculum implementation and provide hands-on support to Makoons centers.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development:
- Design, develop, and implement curriculum plans for both Makoons Play School and Makoons World School, ensuring relevance to early childhood and K-12 educational standards.
- Introduce innovative learning strategies that cater to multiple intelligences, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and holistic development.
- Regularly update curriculum materials to integrate the latest educational trends, technology, and methodologies.
Quality Assurance & Evaluation:
- Monitor the effectiveness of curriculum implementation across centers by observing classes and gathering feedback from educators and students.
- Evaluate curriculum impact and make data-driven adjustments to improve learning outcomes, ensuring that each student's growth is maximized.
- Work closely with academic teams to identify gaps, conduct periodic assessments, and standardize practices.
Training & Support:
- Provide regular training sessions and workshops for teachers and academic coordinators to effectively deliver curriculum objectives.
- Develop and distribute instructional guides, teaching resources, and other support materials to assist in effective curriculum delivery.
- Facilitate professional development initiatives that enhance educators skills and promote best practices in teaching and learning.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the leadership team to align curriculum objectives with institutional goals.
- Engage with parents and other stakeholders to provide insights into the curriculum structure, goals, and student learning progress.
- Act as the primary curriculum contact for all Makoons Play School and World School centers, ensuring consistency and quality across locations.
Travel & On-Site Implementation:
- Travel as needed to Makoons centers across India to ensure the successful implementation of curriculum standards.
- Offer on-ground support to teachers and academic teams, addressing challenges and refining curriculum applications at each site.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Curriculum Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in curriculum development, with a focus on both early childhood and K-12 education.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing age-appropriate, progressive curriculum models.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary education practices, child development theories, and curriculum trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with educators, parents, and students.
- Willingness to travel frequently and adapt to various educational settings across multiple locations.
