Your Role
Main responsibilities:
- Implement and enforce Group compliance policies and procedures relating to:
- Import/export control, including classification processes, product licensing requirements and creation of export/import declarations and documentation
- Trade preference management
- Trade embargo and sanctioned party screening
- Be main responsible to drive improvement activities within trade compliance area with our supplier base and develop Trade Compliance knowledge with our divisional purchase departments and our SHEQ responsibles
- Organize and assist in collection and storage of Trade Compliance relevant Mater Data (HS codes, EU dual Use, ECCN, Country of Origin, EU Preferential Origin, Long term Supplier's Declarations, Trade Compliance statements)
- Monitor and safeguard confidential handling of information exchange with customs authorities
- Co-ordinate between Sourcing Departments, CTBA Trade Compliance Organization and Sales organization on End Use Statements and Declarations of Origin
- Review purchase contract clauses on Trade Compliance to confirm conformity with internal policies and legislation.
- Implement processes for systematic Trade Compliance Screening into sourcing projects
- Work together with the regional Trade Compliance Leads in AMER, EMEA and APAC region to identify local support requirements into our sourcing operations as well as with our Trade Compliance Officers and our HS Classification team.
- Maintain updated awareness of trade compliance requirements and changes
- Supporting the CTBA trade compliance auditor in conducting audits
- Lead or collaborate on initiatives contributing to the continuous improvement of the process and/or systems to comply with import/export regulations
- Coordinate between sourcing, suppliers and CTBA trade compliance for receiving valid long term vendor declarations.
- You report to the Global Trade Compliance Lead Compressor Technique Business Area
To succeed, you will need
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (Law, International Business and Trade, Logistics, etc.) or equivalent work experience
- Extensive working knowledge and experience in the field of Trade Compliance
- Familiar with ECCN/HS classification and dual use as well as denied party screening.
- Understanding of supply chain/logistics processes and international trade systems and associated software (e.g. SAP, GTS, Descartes, Dow Jones, Kharon) is seen as an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to focus on project work and efficiently bringing projects to completion.
- You have an eye for detail and are customer-focused.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills (English is a must).
