Job Description

Receive, clean, disinfect, and sterilize all surgical instruments and medical equipment.
Operate and maintain sterilizing equipment such as autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and washers.
Assemble and package sterile instruments and equipment for distribution.
Monitor and track inventory of sterile supplies and equipment.
Follow established protocols for infection control and sterilization procedures.
Adhere to regulatory and quality assurance standards related to sterilization.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely supply of sterile equipment.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of sterilization equipment.
Document and maintain accurate records of sterilization processes.
Participate in continuous training and education related to sterilization techniques and equipment.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; certification in sterile processing preferred.
Proven experience as a CSSD Technician or similar role in a healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques, equipment, and infection control practices.
Ability to interpret and follow technical manuals and equipment specifications.
Excellent attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
Understanding of regulatory guidelines and standards for sterile processing.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.
Willingness to adhere to confidentiality and ethical standards in handling medical equipment.
