Job Summary:
The CSR Officer will be responsible for developing, managing, and implementing corporate social responsibility initiatives that align with HINCOL's sustainability and community engagement goals. The role involves strategizing and ensuring compliance with legal requirements, such as the Companies Act, 2013, managing partnerships with NGOs, and fostering community relations. The Officer will work to enhance the company's public image while driving social change and environmental sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- CSR Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement CSR strategies aligned with the company's core values and business goals.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify potential areas for community development and CSR engagement.
- Project Management:
- Plan, execute, and monitor CSR projects in areas such as education, health, environment, and community development.
- Develop timelines, budgets, and resource allocations for CSR activities.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as NGOs, community leaders, and government agencies to foster partnerships.
- Organize stakeholder meetings and consultations to ensure effective communication of CSR objectives.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with legal CSR mandates under the Companies Act, 2013, and other applicable laws.
- Prepare detailed reports on CSR initiatives for internal reviews and external audits.
- Track the CSR budget, maintain records, and report expenditures.
- Community Engagement:
- Build strong relationships with local communities and ensure their active involvement in CSR initiatives.
- Conduct field visits to assess the impact of ongoing projects.
- Sustainability Initiatives:
- Promote environmentally sustainable practices within the organization.
- Identify opportunities for reducing the company's carbon footprint and enhancing its environmental impact.
- Employee Volunteer Programs:
- Engage employees in CSR activities through volunteering programs.
- Foster a culture of social responsibility within the workforce.
- Communication & PR:
- Communicate CSR efforts internally to employees and externally to the public, media, and shareholders.
- Prepare content for social media, newsletters, and annual reports to highlight CSR achievements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- B. Tech/ BE in Civil Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in CSR or related roles in corporate or development sectors.
- Knowledge of CSR regulations, sustainability, and community engagement strategies.
- Experience in project management, budgeting, and stakeholder management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
