Key Responsibilities :
This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration to achieve business objectives.
- Anchoring Crop Solution Approach: Explore crop-wise and product-wise liquidation opportunities with the current and future portfolio.
- Developing Crop Strategy :Develop crop strategies, estimate market potential, and identify crop-wise and segment-wise growth opportunities to generate incremental revenues for the organization.
- Crop Portfolio Gap Analysis: Analyze the crop portfolio gaps and recommend suitable products for development to address market needs.
- Identifying Farmer Segment Needs:Identify the needs of different segments of farmers for the assigned crop and tailor solutions accordingly.
- Driving Product Portfolio Strategy:Play a liaison role between Strategic Marketing and Field Marketing to drive product portfolio strategy on the ground.
- Training Field Teams:Train field teams on crop solution approaches and co-develop crop action plans for the assigned crops.
- Participating in Demand Generation Campaigns:Participate in demand generation campaigns to promote products and drive sales.
- Liaising with R&D Teams:Collaborate with R&D teams to transfer outcomes from product development to the field, ensuring seamless implementation.
- Working with Brand and MarCom:Work with Brand and MarCom teams to position new product introductions (NPIs) correctly in the market.
- Managing CNIO Team:Manage a team of 8-10 CNIOs for laying LPDs from n-2 to n+1 years of launch, ensuring effective execution and coordination.
Experience And Competencies
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in agriculture (MBA Marketing preferred) with 15-20 years of relevant experience in Sales and Marketing in Agrochemical/Crop protection Industry
- Proven commercial leadership skills, a strategic mind-set, a passion for innovation and agile responsiveness
- Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
- Team worker with experience in working with cross functional teams like Sales, Marketing, R&D and Finance
- Good consumer and market insights
- Thorough knowledge of crop & Pest Dynamics
- Very good understanding of customer CTQs
- Ability to relate to different audiences internal and external including Distributors and Farmers
- Knowledge of South Indian languages (Telugu, Kannada & Tamil) and experience in the region would be preferred
