- Sales and Upselling: Actively engaging with customers to identify their needs and recommending relevant products
- Sales professionals may also try to upsell or cross-sell complementary items to increase sales
- Point of Sale (POS) Operations: Operating cash registers or computer-based POS systems to process transactions, handle payments, and issue receipts accurately
- Inventory Management: Monitoring product stock levels, restocking shelves, and informing management when inventory needs replenishing
- Visual Merchandising: Ensuring that products are displayed attractively, following store merchandising guidelines to entice customers
