Overview: We are looking for a customer-focused Retail Counter Salesperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent service to our retail customers, assist in product selection, and process transactions efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide product information, recommendations, and answer inquiries.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and courteously.
- Sales and Product Knowledge:
- Assist customers in selecting products based on their needs and preferences.
- Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize sales opportunities.
- Stay informed about product features, benefits, and promotions.
- Order Processing:
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Accept payments (cash, credit/debit cards, etc.) and issue receipts.
- Maintain accurate transaction records and reconcile cash drawers.
- Stock Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed.
- Ensure merchandise displays are organized and attractively presented.
- Assist with receiving shipments and checking for discrepancies.
- Customer Engagement and Relationship Building:
- Build strong relationships with regular customers and identify their preferences.
- Follow up on customer inquiries and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Promote customer loyalty programs and encourage enrollment.
- Store Maintenance:
- Keep the sales area clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Follow proper procedures for opening and closing the store.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic math skills and proficiency with POS systems.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
