BE civil with a minimum of 10 years experience out of which around 5 years should be in site execution and the remaining in quantity surveying, rate analysis, cost management and evaluation of commercial viability of construction projects
Desirable: MBA in Financial management
- Thorough knowledge of rates of materials and labour for various activities
- Thorough knowledge of method of executing all activities involved in civil construction projects
- Detailed rate analysis
- Knowledge of IS1200 and taking off quantities from drawings in autocad/revit
- Knowledge of cost coefficients
- Assessment of Contingencies and cost escalation
- Benchmarking of projects
- Manage the budget and costs of a construction project.
- Formulating a budget to assess feasibility and managing the cost and scope of designs.
- Knowledge of efficient methods and materials
- Commercial awareness
- Maximize ROI
- Hiring vs buying decisions
- Cost planning and cost modelling
- Advise on procurement and contractual services
- Cost Management of projects throughout their lifecycle -Change control and reporting
