As a Costing Executive at a leather manufacturing company, your primary responsibility is to handle the costing and budgeting for products like bags, belts, and wallets.
This role ensures accurate pricing by analyzing material, labor, and overhead costs, working closely with the procurement and production teams.
With an in-depth knowledge of materials such as leather, hardware, and linings, the person should assist in selecting cost-effective options that meet quality standards.
Responsibilities -
Prepare detailed costing for leather products such as bags, belts, and wallets.
Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs to provide accurate pricing structures.
Collaborate with procurement and production teams to gather cost data on raw materials, including leather, hardware, linings, and other components.
Evaluate cost variations and ensure that product costs align with company profit margins.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of various materials used in leather goods manufacturing, such as different types of leather (full grain, split leather, etc.), fabric linings, zippers, buckles, and other hardware.
Qualifications -
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in costing, preferably in the leather goods manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of materials used in leather products like bags, belts, and wallets.
Proficiency in costing software and advanced knowledge of Excel.
Analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in calculations.
