Cost & Estimation Engineer (Pressure Vessel)

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Cost & Estimation Engineer (Pressure Vessel) at Steelcon Engineering LLP. The role involves preparing Bill of Materials (BOM), weights & cost estimation for project enquiry, collaborating with Internal Team Engineers, Vendors, Sub-contractors & Material Manufacturers/Traders. Understanding and Filling of Technical Queries (TQs) and Technical Comparison-Specification Sheets (TCS). Co-ordinating with customer for information, queries and responses. Negotiating contracts, and conducting research on materials and construction techniques. Responsible for generating cost estimates and techno-commercial proposals for pressure vessel, reactors, heat exchangers, column, agitator assembly, etc equipment projects. Create and compile estimates for equipment projects in an efficient and timely manner.

• Prepare BOM and float the EnquiriesÂ
• Prepare costing sheetÂ
• Prepare Technical and Commercial bids

Qualifications

• Understanding of TCS and Detail Drawings
• BOM and Project Estimation skills
• Pressure Vessel knowledge
• Understand of ASME Sec. VIII Div. 1, TEMA, PED and correlated standards like B16.5, B16.9, B16.11, B36.10M, B36.19M etc.
• Experience in using engineering software tools for cost estimation
• Negotiation skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Research abilities
• Experience in pressure vessel design and manufacturing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• At least 3 years of experience in cost estimation for process / pressure equipment industry projects
• At least 3 years of experience in Pressure Vessel and Heavy Fabrication Industry
• Knowledge of pressure vessel design software such as Compress, PV Elite, and AutoCAD is preferred
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
