Job Summary
The Brand and Creative Agency team is part of the Marketing COE in Bangalore. This team produces primarily print and some digital collateral for our 145+ brand partners. The Sr. Copywriter contributes to the success of marketing initiatives for our cardmembers on behalf of our partner brands. This role requires a versatile writer who can shift gears quickly to create smart copy for a range of marketing communications tactics. This role will create savvy direct-to-consumer marketing material that are attention-grabbing and action oriented. Supporting Cardmember work, you'll work closely with the internal creative team and be responsible for learning the tone and voice for each specific brand partner. This role will also support internal communication and Bangalore site initiatives. The role requires working with autonomy to create original content, strong writing and editing skills, and a keen eye for proofreading. The Senior Copywriter will work fluidly with senior executives and proactively ask the right kind of questions that lead to great copy.
Essential Job Functions
- Copywriting - Copy creation of Cardmember digital and print materials such as: Launch materials, credit limit increases, benefits reminders, spend and get campaigns, and reissue campaigns. Collaborate with Graphic Designers to develop concepts and ultimately fulfill each project objective. Act as proofreader, as needed, to review copy for clarity, spelling, grammar and punctuation. Should be familiar with writing for call-to-action focused direct marketing and promotion campaigns.
- Team Development - Support the entire team and its growth and development. Collaborate with other team members effectively. Support meetings with presentation materials as needed. Demonstrates foundational knowledge of credit card operations, banking, financial, loyalty rewards, retail, and credit card regulations while working with the business.
- Project Management - Strong knowledge of key terms related to credit card programs. Attention to detail and accuracy. Able to synthesize information from multiple sources to craft clear and concise communications. Utilize interpersonal skills. Negotiation skills in order to gain trust, achieve business objectives and work directly with a broad group of team members. Ability to multi-task. Ability to meet expectations on-time, on-budget, and error-free delivery. Applies knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams to execute daily work.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration
- Five to eight years experience developing copy and content, idea generation for communication projects and campaigns.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five or more years professional work experience in a marketing or communications-related field or equivalent field. Experience with various writing styles for internal and external communications (e.g., newsletters, brochures, collateral, direct marketing, digital, etc.) with high volume, complex projects with multiple components. Experience working in the financial sector a plus.
