The Coordinator for Higher Grades (CAIE and CBSE) is responsible for managing and overseeing the academic programs for grades under both the CAIE (Cambridge Assessment International Education) and CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) boards. This includes maintaining curriculum standards, improving the quality of teaching, and ensuring the overall development of students. The role also involves bridging communication between students, teachers, parents, and school management to ensure smooth academic and operational activities.
Academic and Curriculum Management:- Oversee the implementation of both CAIE and CBSE curricula for higher grades.
Ensure compliance with CAIE and CBSE guidelines and assessment protocols.- Develop yearly academic plans, schemes of work, and schedules in collaboration with subject teachers.
Monitor and evaluate lesson plans, teaching methodologies, and classroom practices to maintain academic standards.
- Promote innovative teaching strategies and integrate technology in classrooms.
Teacher Supervision and Development:
- Guide and mentor teachers in curriculum planning and effective pedagogical practices.
Conduct regular classroom observations to ensure teaching quality and provide feedback.
- Organize and facilitate professional development programs and workshops for teachers.
Ensure proper coordination between teachers of both boards to ensure continuity in teaching practices.Student Performance and Development:
Monitor student progress and academic performance in both CAIE and CBSE streams.
- Analyze examination results and implement strategies to improve student performance.
Coordinate student assessments, including internal and external examinations.- Identify struggling students and implement remedial programs and academic interventions.
Communication and Liaison:- Act as a liaison between teachers, students, and parents, ensuring transparent and timely communication.
Organize parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress and address concerns.- Collaborate with the administration to address issues related to student discipline, attendance, and behavior.
Administrative Duties:- Assist in preparing timetables, lesson schedules, and resource allocation for the academic year.
Ensure the availability of learning materials, resources, and equipment for both CAIE and CBSE curricula.- Prepare reports and presentations on academic performance, curriculum updates, and other key metrics for school management.
Ensure compliance with school policies and relevant educational regulations.
Coordinate the smooth conduct of board examinations for both CAIE and CBSE.- Oversee the preparation and submission of reports, grades, and results to the respective boards.
Ensure that teachers follow examination protocols and grading guidelines.
- Leadership and Collaboration:
Work closely with department heads and subject coordinators to ensure curriculum alignment across grades.- Lead initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive school environment.
Encourage extracurricular activities, competitions, and events that support the holistic development of students.
- Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Education or relevant subject.
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience, with experience in both CAIE and CBSE boards preferred.
Strong leadership and team management skills.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in curriculum development, student assessments, and teacher training.
- Proficiency in technology integration in the classroom.
