Key Eligibility Criteria:
- 4 years or more experience in controls engineering.
- Bachelor or Master of Engineering.
- Strong electrical and electronic system fundamentals required, along with power and control theory understanding.
- Good verbal and written communication in English.
Experience:
- Experience with troubleshooting (remote and on-site).
- Experience of working with VFDs, and various other electrical and electronic components.
- Experience with PLC programming, HMI development and SCADA.
- Experience with communication platforms using TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, BACNet, Profinet and Ethernet/IP.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to walk, stand and sit for extended periods. Able to kneel when needed. Able to work effectively in noisy environments. Able to stay at site.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to read and interpret P&ID, wiring diagrams, single line drawings (SLD) and device data sheets.
- Project scope often includes large industrial and commercial refrigeration systems and related controls, so the candidate will be responsible for remote and on-site customer support on refrigeration system from the electrical and electronic component standpoint: VFDs, protection modules, controllers, HMI etc.
- Perform FAT and site testing of control systems.
- Produce documentation and manuals for controls projects and standard programs, including functional descriptions, engineering level summaries and program level detailed documentation.
- Provide or assist with hardware selection and circuit design, sensor engineering, and networking for controls and data.
