About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Content Team Lead (SEO) to oversee and manage a team of writers, editors, and SEO specialists to ensure that all content aligns with SEO best practices and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and implementing effective content strategies, as well as conducting audits and competitor analysis. This individual will play a key role in shaping the content strategy for the business, ensuring that content supports overall marketing and business objectives while optimizing for SEO.
What you will deliver:
Team Leadership & Content Management:
- Oversee a team of writers, SEO editors, and content specialists to produce high-quality, SEO-optimized content.
- Set performance goals for the content team and ensure growth as a strategic function of the business.
- Collaborate with senior creative leaders and department heads to identify content needs and align initiatives across various channels and verticals.
Content Strategy & Planning:
- Design and implement comprehensive content strategies, plans, and procedures that support both short and long-term business objectives.
- Leverage market data to develop content themes and topics, executing plans that drive user engagement and lead to critical behavioral metrics.
- Supervise the management of audience personas, content inventories, customer journey maps, and SEO strategies.
- Establish best practices and workflows for managing the content lifecycle, ensuring content is consistent with brand guidelines and optimized for user experience.
SEO Optimization & Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct regular content audits and competitor analysis to ensure the content stays current, relevant, and aligned with SEO parameters.
- Collaborate with digital and technical teams to implement an efficient content management system (CMS) for optimal content delivery.
- Ensure SEO strategies, including the implementation of taxonomies, meta tag structures, and structured content, are executed for all content.
Content Performance & Analytics:
- Conduct ongoing usability tests to gauge the effectiveness of content in meeting marketing and SEO objectives.
- Gather, analyze, and report on performance data; make recommendations for content improvement and marketing optimizations based on the data.
- Supervise or collaborate with data analysts to interpret analytics and drive content revisions.
Global Consistency & Localization:
- Ensure a consistent, global approach to content creation, including localization and translation strategies where appropriate.
- Manage the development and implementation of content standards, taxonomies, and meta tag structures across global and localized content.
Must Haves for the Role:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in content strategy, management, and SEO optimization.
- Proven experience managing content teams and working cross-functionally with creative, technical, and marketing teams.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles, Google Analytics, CMS platforms, and other relevant content marketing tools.
- Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), and familiarity with structured content, meta tags, and taxonomies.
- Expertise in conducting content audits, competitor analysis, and using analytics to drive content strategy and performance.
- Strong team leadership and project management skills with the ability to set clear goals and manage team performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
