Position Title: Content Specialist Intern

About Talking Tails:
Talking Tails is a storytelling platform dedicated to sharing inspiring and heartwarming stories about animals. We feature rescue stories, funny anecdotes, and experiences from feeders, volunteers, and pet parents.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Content Specialist Intern to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering and documenting heartwarming animal stories from various individuals. You will conduct interviews, collect supporting media, and craft engaging first drafts of these stories.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Research and Story Collection:
- Identify and reach out to individuals with inspiring and heartwarming animal stories.
- Conduct interviews to gather detailed narratives and insights.
- Ensure all stories align with Talking Tails mission and values.
2. Content Creation:
- Write compelling and engaging first drafts of the collected stories.
- Edit and refine content to ensure clarity, coherence, and emotional impact.
- Collaborate with the editorial team to align with Talking Tails style and tone.
3. Media Collection:
- Collect supporting media (photos, videos, etc.) from story contributors.
- Ensure all media is of high quality and enhances the narrative.
4. Research:
- Verify facts and ensure accuracy in all content produced.
5. Collaboration:
- Work closely with the CEO to brainstorm new story ideas.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the creative process.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Media, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills.
- Excellent interviewing and communication skills.
- Passion for animals and their welfare.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with content management systems and basic photo/video editing tools is a plus.
