A managerial role in the Research & Content Programming team for the global documentary streaming product
DETAILED JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Writing metadata, synopsis, logline for DocuBay's content library in conjunction with the editorial strategy, while ensuring accuracy and consistency on the platform.
- Planning the programming calendar which drives viewership based on internal and external data.
- Curating content display on daily and weekly basis for all devices and territories.
- Ensuring regular refresh of content display elements i.e. titles, thumbnails etc.
- Ensure that content licenses and rights are adhered, like geo restriction, guidelines of usage by content partners etc.
- Shortlisting content based on multiple programming criteria's.
- Conducting detailed research on new content ideas and recommend potential development for DocuBay Originals.
- Work closely with Graphics and Marketing teams in order to provide content recommendations, promotional materials and ensure appropriate content positioning in the execution of various partnerships.
- Working on programming Strategy for DocuBay which is cognizant with the short, long-term goals of the platform.
JOB SPECIFICATION
- To be successful in this role the resource must be a Programming and Research enthusiast with media background, media lover, creative and passionate about work.
DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Graduate / Post-Graduate
- 4+ years plus experience.
- Good communication
- Problem-solving
- Fast learner & one who can handle volume of work.
ESSENTIAL JOB SPECIFIC TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
- Prior experience in OTT/TV/Media Research very much preferred.
- One who strongly understands about the documentary sensibilities around the world.
- Need to have a certain level of design and aesthetic sensibility to judge artworks and other creatives.
- Multi tasker, task master with flexible attitude.
- Strong proficiency in PowerPoint Presentations, Excel Sheets, and data management.
