Eligibility: At least 3 years of relevant experience in the writing/editing industry. Prior exposure to product management or the AI realm is a plus!

Key Responsibilities:

As an Innovation Strategist

You'll drive innovation by envisioning, strategizing, and conceptualizing cutting-edge features to supercharge our AI-powered content writing and editing app. Conducting market research, uncovering customer needs, and testing trailblazing ideas/features will be your turf. In close collaboration with stakeholders, you'll define our product's vision and strategy, aligning it with business goals. This role emphasizes disruptive strategic thinking and creative problem-solving, without hands-on technical implementation. Your game-changing insights and validated concepts will propel the evolution of our revolutionary AI content solutions. Here is a brief look at your job responsibilities:

Writing Expertise: Deeply understand the elements that contribute to writing good content of any type (e.g., novel, research article, website article, etc.) and leverage this knowledge to improve our AI system's writing capabilities.

Prompt Design and Development: Craft prompts that effectively communicate the desired task to an AI system. This involves understanding the nuances of language and how different phrasings can impact the AI system's output.

Iterative Testing and Performance Evaluation: Continuously test prompts with the AI system to evaluate performance. This may involve qualitative assessments, user feedback, and quantitative measures like accuracy and relevance scores.

Context Management: Ensure that prompts provide sufficient context for the AI system to understand the task, especially in multi-turn interactions or complex scenarios.

Customization for Specific Applications: Tailor prompts to fit the specific needs of different applications based on factors such as service types and document categories.

Cross-Functional Synergy: Work closely with software developers and business stakeholders to align prompt engineering efforts with overall project goals and requirements.

Ethical Considerations: Ensure that prompts are designed in a way that avoids biased or harmful outputs from the AI system and that they adhere to ethical guidelines and standards.

As a Senior Editor

As we transition from a professional editing service into an AI-driven content powerhouse, you'll initially take on Senior Editor responsibilities, deftly combining editing, reviewing, and managerial excellence.

Here is a brief look at your job responsibilities:

Supervision and Training: Supervise and assist Editors, conducting performance assessments and data vetting according to key performance indicators. Address Editors queries promptly, provide hands-on help with unfamiliar document types, and identify training needs and convey them to Managing Editors. Stay updated on each Editor's

developing skills, strengths, and weaknesses.

Quality Assurance and Document Review: Review documents edited by our team to ensure they meet PaperTrue's high editing standards and are delivered on time, ensuring customer satisfaction. Perform quality control by approving completed documents for delivery and returning those that need further revision.

Editing: Occasionally edit fresh client documents as needed to meet company and client requirements.

Pipeline and Schedule Management: Collaborate with the Operations team to manage Editors workloads, adjust editing speeds and project deadlines, and accommodate schedule changes.

Client Communication and Collaboration: Work with the Sales and Support team to relay editing-related queries and responses between Editors and clients, ensuring clear communication and customer satisfaction.

Skills and Qualifications

Linguistic Expertise: A strong grasp of language, including syntax, semantics, and pragmatics.

Editing and Proofreading Experience: Proven experience in editing and proofreading, particularly with academic documents and fiction/non-fiction manuscripts.

Versatile Writing Ability: Demonstrated ability to write clear, engaging, and well-structured content across various formats (articles, web content, social media, etc.).

Audience Understanding and Storytelling: Deep understanding of the target audience to tailor content that meets their needs and preferences, and proficiency in crafting compelling narratives that captivate and maintain the reader's interest.

Time Management: Excellent time management skills, with the ability to handle tight and demanding schedules efficiently.

Innovation: Exceptional strategic thinking, creativity, and ability to translate insights into innovative product concepts.

Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze AI outputs and identify patterns or issues that can be addressed through prompt adjustments.

Creativity: Innovative thinking to craft AI prompts that can handle a wide range of tasks and scenarios.

Attention to Detail: Precision in wording and structure to ensure clarity and effectiveness of AI prompts.

Research Skills: Strong research skills, marked by a high level of curiosity and general awareness.

Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with Microsoft Word, LaTeX, Adobe Reader. Familiarity with AI tools is a plus.
