- To work effectively with experienced and market leading subject matter experts to support ERM processes for the Reinsurance legal entities.
- The role will involve working closely with a number of teams within the ERM Centers of Excellence including Actuarial Risk Management, Financial Risk Management, Underwriting Risk, Operational Risk and Internal Control, Natural Catastrophe and Man-Made Perils Team to ensure we apply the right risk insight and methodologies within our risk management processes and reporting for Reinsurance entities.
- You will be involved in implementing key risk frameworks and best practices (such as developing the ORSA, implementing risk policy and internal control standards, risk appetite, tolerances, stress testing, validation) within the Reinsurance entities.
- You will be responsible for developing relationships with the Reinsurance entity offices across all geographies and India based teams supporting the Reinsurance entities.
- You will support the risk functions responsible for the Reinsurance legal entities
- You will be involved in the preparation of ORSA reports utilizing the ERM workflow tool. This will include sourcing appropriate capital and risk information from various teams.
- Supporting operational risk assessments and the development of operational risk scenarios, which will involve at times challenging discussions with key management staff.
- Risk reporting including but not limited to Risk Committee reporting, Board reporting and Risk Management updates as required. Administrative tasks including pulling together committee packs, tracking actions and compiling minutes from meetings.
- Representing Risk Management on Committees as appropriate.
- Supporting the local application of the Internal Control Framework including design and operating effectiveness testing, as required.
- Follow up on operational risk events reported through the Company s internal reporting process (OPERA) and produce reports for management.
- Supporting the annual review of risk policies for Reinsurance entities.
- As part of the ERM team, identify any shortfalls in expected compliance with the emerging regulatory requirements (including Solvency II) and aid in developing plans to address any shortfalls.
- Assist the team with special projects and ad hoc duties as assigned.
We re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
- Proven experience of working in a Risk, Compliance or Internal Audit function for an (Re)insurance company is preferable.
- Risk Framework experience in a similar role.
- Strong analysis skills (both quantitative and qualitative) and attention to detail.
- Strong MS Office knowledge with an emphasis on MS Excel.
- Clear communication, written and verbal, will be important for presenting results and solutions.
- Thorough data interpretation skills and attention to detail are a must to ensure that you produce high
- quality, reliable analysis.
- You will be working in a dynamic team so you will need to be highly adaptable and comfortable both working on your own initiative and as a keen team player.
- Graduate degree and/or studying towards an insurance or Risk Management qualification.
