Job Description

Summary

As the Marketing and Communication consultant for Avendus Asset Mgmt. and Credit Solutions Business, the position holder will be working on-site (BKC, Mumbai) and will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives for upcoming and existing funds where HNIs, family offices and institutions are investors. This role requires strategic thinking, execution excellence, superior communication skills, and a creative mindset to drive brand awareness and growth. Understanding of the financial services business, especially alternate assets is a must. A broad knowledge of B2B businesses is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy Development:

Collaborate with the Business Heads (CEOs and Fund Managers) and key business stakeholders to define marketing objectives and strategies aligned with business goals.

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats in the industry
  • Support in managing overall brand communication for the group
  • Work with the Marcomm team to execute group level initiatives

Content Creation and Management:

Drive thought Leadership through media and social media content

  • Work with business to create engaging and informative content, including articles, whitepapers, videos/podcasts, and webinars, to educate media, portfolio companies, investors, prospects and distributors
  • Enhance pitch decks and maintain the same and other product collaterals and when required
  • Liaise with compliance team to ensure proper and broad dissemination of content generated
  • Work with ops and (internal and external) to ensure a seamless with regards to dissemination of regular communication and content
  • Revamp and update website regularly
  • Ensure quality and timely execution of any announcements to investors, prospects, distributors, internal, promotion on SM etc.

Digital Marketing & Social Media:

  • Create a communication flow for the interfaces (content on web, emailers, investor portal)
  • Leverage content generated for thought leadership campaigns on the website and social media
  • Monitor the performance of digital marketing efforts and optimize strategies for maximum ROI

Brand Management:

  • Grow brand awareness for the Asset and Credit Business
  • Maintain and strengthen the business's brand identity, ensuring consistency in messaging and visuals in line with the Group brand
  • Implement brand building initiatives and content partnerships with media houses and relevant platforms
  • Manage the production of marketing collateral, including brochures, presentations, and promotional materials
  • Ensure all marketing materials and activities comply with industry regulations and internal compliance policies

Event Planning and Execution:

  • Ideate, plan, and implement curated events for investors and distributors
  • Collaborate with other Group businesses to have our presence at their events or co create events with them for common TG
  • Identify relevant events for sponsorships for enhanced brand visibility and prospect (industry participations domestic as well as international
  • Fund Managers host networking dinner for top investor and prospects in India as well as offshore
  • Maintain data and track ROI related to every event

PR:

  • Provide information, and help implement media outreach for the platform and key spokespersons
  • Work with the agency to get visibility for spokespersons in relevant media and sections
  • Work with spokespeople to produce authored pieces and report for media

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Use data analytics tools to track and measure the success of marketing initiatives
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting key performance metrics and areas for improvement
  • Liaise with Finance team for timely payment to agency partners and vendors. Maintain a tracker for all payment and expense provisions

Experience & Skills required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Word, MS Teams, Outlook)
  • Excellent formal communication skills and confidence in dealing with stakeholders at all levels
  • Good interpersonal skills with warm and pleasant networking and rapport-building capabilities
