Key Responsibilities: The Lean Manufacturing Specialist will provide consulting for implementation and managing lean manufacturing principles and practices to enhance their operational efficiency, Work Place Standardization, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity within the organization. This role involves analyzing current processes, facilitating training, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work Place Standardization: Including how to operate machinery, clean, pack products, and safety measures etc
- Process Analysis: Evaluate existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and waste reduction.
- Lean Implementation: Develop and implement lean strategies, including 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and Just-In-Time (JIT) practices.
- Training and Development: Conduct training sessions and workshops for staff on lean principles and practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure alignment on lean initiatives.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of lean initiatives.
- Problem Solving: Facilitate problem-solving sessions to identify root causes of issues and implement corrective actions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of improvement projects and outcomes, providing regular reports to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in lean manufacturing methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma certification is a plus, TPM etc).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to think critically.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in process mapping and data analysis tools.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with quality management systems.
- Ability to lead teams and manage projects effectively.
- Multitasking. Proactive planning to ensure sustainability in business operations.
