Job Description

  • Planning and organization:Planning and preparing schedules, milestones, and budgets for construction projects
  • Communication:Communicating with clients, design teams, and construction teams to convey instructions, provide updates, and resolve conflicts
  • Risk management:Developing contingency plans and managing changes to the project's scope or timeline
  • Budget management:Creating the initial financial plan and monitoring the budget throughout the project
  • Resource allocation:Anticipating future needs and ensuring there are no shortages of materials
  • Quality control:Developing and implementing quality control programs
  • Contract negotiation:Preparing contracts and negotiating changes with clients, architects, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Progress reporting:Preparing progress reports and schedules to issue to clients
  • Site visits:Conducting site visits to inspect work, check materials, and ensure staff are following health and safety guidelines
  • Subcontractor management:Hiring and supervising subcontractors and subordinate staff
