Position: Consolidation Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chartered Accountant to join our dynamic finance team at Reliance Retail. The ideal candidate must have 2 to 8 years of relevant experience in financial consolidation and reporting processes. As a Consolidation Manager, you will be responsible for managing the consolidation of financial statements for Reliance Retail and its subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the consolidation of financial statements for Reliance Retail and its subsidiaries, including preparation of consolidated balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  2. Coordinate with subsidiary finance teams to collect, review, and consolidate financial data in accordance with established timelines and guidelines.
  3. Perform analysis of intercompany transactions and balances, ensuring elimination of intercompany profits, balances, and transactions during the consolidation process.
  4. Review subsidiary financial statements for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, addressing any discrepancies or issues as needed.
  5. Prepare consolidation entries and adjustments to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting across the organization.
  6. Assist in the preparation of financial disclosures and footnotes for consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Indian Accounting Standards
  7. Participate in the development and implementation of consolidation policies, procedures, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the consolidation process.
  8. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, regulations, and best practices related to financial consolidation, and incorporate relevant changes into the consolidation process.
  9. Provide support for ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requirements, as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 2 to 8 years of experience in financial consolidation and reporting, preferably in a retail or multinational corporation environment.
  2. Strong understanding of Indian Accounting principles, consolidation techniques, and financial reporting requirements.
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends, variances, and anomalies.
  4. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis.
  5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work effectively in a team environment.
