Job Summary
We are looking for a meticulous Financial Statement Consolidation Specialist to manage the preparation, consolidation, and analysis of financial statements. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of post-qualification experience in a Big 4 firm, with strong expertise in accounting standards, consolidation practices, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the consolidation of financial statements across various subsidiaries and business units, ensuring alignment with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Oversee the reconciliation process, including eliminations and adjustments, to provide accurate consolidated financial data.
- Coordinate with subsidiaries and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate data submission for consolidation purposes.
- Prepare consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in preparing reports for stakeholders, including management and external parties, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Support financial disclosures and footnotes for consolidated statements, aligning with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements in financial reporting.
- Stay current with changes in accounting standards and assess their impact on the consolidation process.
- Provide guidance on consolidation policies and ensure consistent application across all entities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for auditors on consolidation-related matters, providing documentation and responding to queries.
- Prepare consolidated schedules and support documents for external and internal audits, ensuring audit requirements are met.
- Address audit findings and implement improvements to the consolidation and reporting process.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the consolidation process.
- Develop and maintain consolidation models and templates for streamlined financial reporting.
Key Skills and Requirements
