There is an opening for a Configuration Specialist
The role exists within the newly formed Professional Services team, that brings together all functions which deliver the product configuration, implementation, and training services to our customers.
It is part of an ambitious new program building our future which sees the Solera business move to vertical functional teams to support the OneSolera vision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
What You'll Need
- Good expert level understanding (2 years minimum) of software programming (javascript), HTML, CSS, XML -configuratorshould know how to write expressions in pseudo-code, target task and case data
- Able to take user stories, and requests for change, to configure and prepare systems for Solera customers.
- Analytical approach -a configuratormust be able to problem-solve through the application of logic. The role of theconfiguratoris in many ways the role of a detective, following through each problem from end result all the way back to the root cause
- Attention to detail at all times - a misplaced comma can completely break a workflow
- Working under pressure - deadlines are often tight and mission-critical
- Willingness to learn and cooperate - understanding what other team members are doing, how they are solving problems is always best practice
- Understanding of implications of changes - the person must be able to think beyond the immediate change they plan to make and assess the risk to other projects
- Build positive and collaborative relationships globally with key stakeholders
- Understand legacy vs modern SDLC lifecycles so as to be able to adapt to both.

- Comfortable to work with a high degree of independence and responsibility - A configurator will work across multiple projects and must be autonomous in their day to day activities.
- An attitude of strong business acumen, results orientation and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Requires a MS/BS degree, Computer Science or equivalent preferred
- Collaborative team player that can work within cross-functional teams to deliver solutions on time and above expectations
