Position: Compliance Head
Location: Boisar, Palghar District
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and systems to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor changes in export regulations and laws, and update internal policies and procedures accordingly.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as legal, finance, operations) to ensure compliance requirements are met throughout the organization.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance matters, including export controls, trade sanctions, and customs regulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and manage compliance-related inquiries and inspections.
- Implement measures to mitigate compliance risks and ensure a culture of compliance across the organization.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, JD) preferred.
- Proven experience of 10-15 years in a compliance role within the manufacturing or export industry, with a strong understanding of export controls and regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of international trade compliance, including familiarity with export classifications, tariff codes, and customs regulations.
- Experience developing and implementing compliance programs and conducting internal audits.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and apply them to business operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Certification in export compliance (e.g., Certified Export Compliance Professional) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with ERP systems and compliance software/tools.
- Multilingual proficiency (if applicable to international business operations).
- Experience working in a multicultural and global business environment.
