Overview
As a Driver, you will play a crucial role in our organization by safely transporting goods or passengers from one location to another. Your responsibilities will contribute to our overall operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles, including cars, vans, or trucks.
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a strong focus on safety.
- Plan efficient routes to deliver items or transport passengers in a timely manner.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
- Maintain the cleanliness and regular maintenance of the vehicle.
- Handle documentation such as delivery and trip logs as required.
- Provide excellent customer service and clear communication to passengers or clients when applicable.
- Report any accidents or vehicle issues to management immediately.
- Adapt to traffic conditions and adjust routes as needed to avoid delays.
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding vehicle operation and safety.
- Assist with the identification and resolution of vehicle maintenance issues.
- Ensure the on-time delivery of goods or passengers according to schedule.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel, and repairs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a Driver or similar role.
- Knowledge of local and regional traffic laws and regulations.
- Ability to handle various types of vehicles in different weather and traffic conditions.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Physical stamina to lift and move heavy items when necessary.
- Good understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with GPS devices and other navigation tools.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
