- Identify & build communities relevant for developers building smart devices (Tip: Think beyond software)
- Search for existing communities and engage with them
- Evangelise Bytebeam and help makers build products using Bytebeam
- Create community specific content as and when required
- Create a presence for Bytebeam across multiple platforms: twitter/linkedin/slack etc
- Create processes and execute best practices of community management
- Be adept at basic troubleshooting and helping community members
- Coordinate with developers internally to address advanced queries on the community platform
- Actively research and identify upcoming tech trends for community building
Who we are looking for
A good candidate must possess some or all of the following skills:
- Excited about the tech sector in general and IoT in particular
- Past experience of managing developer oriented communities will be a big advantage (Reddit, Discord, GitHub, etc)
- Active social media presence and participation
- Basic understanding of technology (programming languages & architecture)
- Willing to go deep into technology and have a conversation with developers in their language
- Ability to connect with people and form a bond with them
- Mindset to create win win partnerships with people
- Some good to haves:
- Developer experience
- Presence in developer community with active participation
- Influencer status in tech community
Experience will definitely help you do your job better but is not the only criteria. We are looking for energy & enthusiasm and more importantly a vision for the future.
