Bring together and facilitate knowledge exchange amongst a vibrant interdisciplinary community of practitioners to share insights, connect and co-create solutions that work towards a regenerative future.
Support and mentor young professionals to experiment, build and scale low cost sustainable solutions that address challenges that their world is facing.
Curate relevant trends and insights that can inform design, decisions and dialogue around future of work and learning, and its contribution to a regenerative future
Become a demonstration site for how institutions and organizations can build a culture and infrastructure for learning and work, that inspires a regenerative mindset.
Role Overview
As a Community Manager, your primary responsibility is to build and maintain a positive and engaged community around the space and the organization. You will act as the bridge between the observatory and its community, ensuring effective communication, fostering relationships, and promoting a sense of belonging among community members. Your role will involve strategizing, planning, and executing community initiatives across various online platforms and offline events. Additionally, you will focus on building partnerships, co-creating experiences, and curating relevant exhibitions and learning experiences.
Experience Design
Community Engagement: Develop and implement strategies to actively engage the community, including responding to comments, questions, and feedback in a timely and professional manner. Foster a sense of community by creating conversations, moderating discussions, and encouraging user-generated content.
Co-creation of Experiences: Work closely with partners to conceptualize, plan, and execute collaborative experiences that provide value to the community. This may include joint webinars, workshops, product launches, or other initiatives aimed at enriching the communitys experience.
Exhibition and Learning Experiences Curation: Identify and curate relevant exhibitions, events, and learning experiences that align with the communitys interests and aspirations. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to bring these experiences to the community, whether through in-person or virtual formats.
Events and Initiatives: Organize and coordinate community events, both online and offline, such as webinars, live streams, workshops, meetups, and conferences. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to plan and execute successful community initiatives.
Facilitation: Basic facilitation at events or things that are happening. Introducing new experiences and making sure all the experiences are up in running
Operations & Partnership Management
Manage a team of 3-4 people like maker-space facilitator, gardener, cafe incharge as we'll as external resources like curators, researchers, etc
Planning external event with the partners
Manage the finances of the space including budgeting, inflow/outflow of payments and reporting.
Coordinate with Quest teams - People, Marcomm, Finance and Admin for every day operations and interdependencies.
Partnership Building: Identify potential partners, both organizations and individuals, that align with the brands goals and values. Develop and nurture relationships with partners to explore opportunities for collaboration and co-creation of experiences.
Own the budget and run it like a business - pricing, keeping an eye on the expenditure
Outreach and Communications (30%)
Anchor the design and execution of social media strategy
Work with Quest Alliance Marcom team for creatives when required
Anchoring the external communication, content writing for events, social media, etc
Engaging with the Malhar community to promote the space
Content Creation: Generate compelling and relevant content that resonates with the community, such as blog posts, newsletters, social media updates, and videos. Ensure content aligns with the brands voice and values, and encourage user-generated content contributions.
Social Media Management: Oversee the brands social media channels like instagram and website. Plan and schedule posts, monitor engagement metrics, and optimize social media strategies to maximize reach and impact.
Documentation: Documentation of the various events and initiatives, maintaining comprehensive plans, reports, and meeting minutes.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a community manager or in a similar role.
Keen interest in regenerative thinking and sustainability practices around agriculture, energy, waste and water.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of social media platforms, online communities, and content creation.
Ability to build relationships and engage with a diverse community.
Experience in organizing and executing community events and initiatives.
Experience in building partnerships and co-creating experiences.
Knowledge of curating relevant exhibitions and learning experiences.
