Job Overview
- Produce all necessary food for all food service operations in the correct time frame as required and instructed by the Sous chef or Chef de Partie.
- Monitor and maintain consistent food standards and quality during all stages of production and supply
- Ensure that the cleaning of the kitchen and staff food service areas is to the agreed standard.
- Maintaining quality and quantity control in all aspects, from portion control to freshness of the product presented.
- Ensure stock rotation and use by dates for the production are followed
- Liaise with the team to coordinate ordering and mise-en-place
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Commis/Prep chef is highly desirable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a team player
- Able to work in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to display a real passion for food
