Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tandoor Chef to oversee the preparation of our signature tandoori and North Indian dishes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Indian cuisine, particularly in handling and cooking with a tandoor oven. This role involves managing all aspects of tandoor cooking, from marinating ingredients to ensuring the perfect cooking temperature.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of Dishes, including but not limited to kebabs, tandoori meats, and naan bread and Curry.
- Ensure that all tandoor items are cooked to perfection and meet our high standards of quality and taste.
- Manage marination and seasoning of ingredients according to recipes and personal expertise.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the tandoor kitchen area.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Tandoor Chef or in a similar role in an Indian restaurant.
- Extensive knowledge of tandoor cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Certification in food safety and hygiene is preferred.
