Job Title: Commis Chef

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. As a Commis Chef, you will work under the guidance of the Chef de Partie and assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items, including but not limited to, appetizers, main courses, and desserts, following established recipes and standards.
Station Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned kitchen stations, ensuring that all equipment and utensils are in good working condition.
Ingredient Handling: Handle and store ingredients properly, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations to prevent contamination.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient operation and timely delivery of dishes.
Quality Control: Assist in monitoring food quality, presentation, and portion control to ensure consistency and adherence to menu specifications.
Learning & Development: Actively seek guidance from senior chefs, participate in training sessions, and apply new techniques and skills in daily tasks.
Requirements:
Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required. Entry-level candidates with a passion for cooking and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Education: Culinary school diploma or equivalent is advantageous but not mandatory.
Skills: Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment. Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately.
Personal Qualities: Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude are essential.
