Job Description:We are looking for a talented and passionate Commis 1 Chef to join our kitchen team. As a Commis 1 Chef, you will work under the supervision of our Head Chef and assist in preparing high-quality dishes according to our restaurant's standards. Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items as directed by the Head Chef
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications to ensure consistency and quality
Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and portioning as necessary- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and adhere to food safety standards
Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
- Collaborate with other members of the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service
Adhere to all sanitation and safety procedures- Uphold high standards of food quality and presentation
Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment- Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary school (preferred)
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and a passion for food- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn and take direction from senior chefs
