As a Commi 2 Chef, you will play a crucial role in assisting the senior chefs in the preparation and creation of high-quality dishes that exceed our customers expectations. Responsibilities:
Assist the senior chefs in the preparation of menu items according to recipes and specifications.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.
Follow food safety standards and procedures to ensure the highest level of sanitation and hygiene.
Participate in inventory management, including stock rotation and proper storage of perishable items.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste and maintain cost efficiency.
Uphold True Fit Gourmet Cafe's commitment to exceptional customer service by consistently delivering delicious and visually appealing dishes.
Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff to ensure consistency and excellence in food preparation.
Requirements:Previous experience working as a Commi 2 Chef or in a similar culinary role.
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety standards.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks as needed.
Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating delicious dishes.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
