Job Description: Commercial Executive Chemical/Paint Industry
Position Overview:
The Commercial Executive will be responsible for managing and streamlining the commercial operations within the chemical/paint industry. This includes handling sales processes, procurement, pricing strategies, and maintaining relationships with suppliers and clients. The role requires a strong understanding of the industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive profitability through efficient commercial practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
- Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets.
- Handle customer inquiries, prepare quotations, and negotiate pricing and contracts.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities for new business.
Procurement and Vendor Management:
- Source and negotiate with suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and other required items.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production and timely order fulfillment.
- Evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
Pricing and Cost Analysis:
- Develop pricing strategies based on market trends, production costs, and competitive analysis.
- Monitor market dynamics, including raw material costs and competitor pricing, to adjust strategies accordingly.
Order Management and Coordination:
- Oversee order processing, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of products.
- Coordinate with production, logistics, and quality control teams for seamless operations.
- Address and resolve any client complaints or issues regarding product quality or delivery.
Market Research and Insights:
- Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and forecasts.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all commercial activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, contracts, and communication with stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Chemistry, or a related field.
- 25 years of experience in commercial roles within the chemical or paint industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office applications.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to perform market and cost analysis.
- Knowledge of supply chain management and regulatory compliance in the industry.
