The role will be responsible for thecreation, review and distribution of internal and external management reportsfor Europe.
The role will cover external reporting of operational andfinancial performance to key clients and internal reporting of operational andfinancial performance for individual clients and across Europe as whole. External reporting includes creatingmonthly, quarterly and annual reports from our bespoke operational system tosummarise performance such as spend by market, savings against targets and theproportion of on-time deliveries.
Internal reporting will includemonthly reporting of financial performance from our accounting system againstforecasts for revenue, costs, key balance sheet items and other KPIs. Internalreporting will also include assistance on deriving reports for the annualbudget process, daily billing updates, monthly cost allocations and otherad-hoc requirements.
Specific area of responsibility
Internal reporting:
Assistancewith preparation and reporting of annual plan, quarterly forecasts, latestmonthly estimates and other planning activity
Reportingactual performance against expected performance, particularly related to thefinancial performance at a client level
Reportingkey performance metrics versus targets across the region, highlighting trendsand anomalies, this includes volumes, savings and spoilage, etc.
Reportingbalance sheet balances (including debt ageing and stock ageing) versus targets.
Generationof reports to ensure correct cost allocations by client, business unit anddepartment and compare to the budget
Performdata extraction and manipulation through detailed excel analysis
Assistwith data cleansing as required to improve reporting accuracy
Otherad-hoc reporting as required
External reporting:
Preparationof monthly, quarterly and annual management information for our clients usingour operational systems.
Ensurereporting is accurate via reconciliation to underlying systems and data, dataconsistency checks and overall sense checks based on knowledge of the business

Developsound understanding of operational and financial reporting systems within thebusiness and how they interact.

Requirements
Person Specification
Qualified accountant (ACCA or ACA equivalent)with minimum of five years post qualification experience
Good IT skills (must have very advanced Exceland data manipulation skills)
Willingness and desire to get involved in thedetail with great attention to detail
Honest, proactive, accountable and self-driven
Good communication skills and ability to explainfinancial information in a simple and concise way to both finance andnon-finance stakeholders (significant interaction with operational teams)
