Job Description

  • The Collections Manager for Debt Management is responsible for overseeing and managing the debt collection activities within the organization
  • This role involves developing and implementing strategies to effectively recover outstanding debts while maintaining positive customer relations
  • The Collections Manager will lead a team of collection agents, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure departmental goals are met
  • Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement effective debt collection strategies to maximize recovery while minimizing losses
  • Supervise and lead a team of collection agents, including recruitment, training, performance management, and goal setting
  • Monitor collection activities and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes
  • Review and analyze delinquent accounts to determine appropriate collection actions and strategies
  • Negotiate payment plans and settlements with debtors, adhering to company policies and regulatory guidelines
  • Maintain accurate records of collection activities and prepare reports for management review
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as legal and customer service, to resolve escalated customer issues and complaints
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to debt collection and ensure compliance within the department
  • Provide regular performance feedback and coaching to team members to support their professional development and success
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the collections team
