Job Title: COBOL Developer

- COBOL Development with OpenVMS experience
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience as a COBOL Developer, working on enterprise-level projects.
- OpenVMS Expertise: Advanced understanding and hands-on knowledge of the OpenVMS platform.
- API Knowledge: Familiarity with SOAP/XML and REST/JSON APIs for seamless system integration.
- Communication Protocols: Experience working with protocols such as AS2, SFTP, and HTTP.
- Database Proficiency: Expertise in Oracle RDB databases, including query writing.
- Root Cause Analysis: Ability to perform detailed root cause analysis for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Version Control: Experience with Source Control and version management systems.
Highly Desirable Skills:
- Freight Forwarding Industry: Experience within the freight forwarding or logistics industry is highly desirable.
- Customer & Vendor Interaction: Experience interacting directly with customers and vendors for business requirements and technical consultations.
- ANSI X12 Transaction Sets: Hands-on experience with ANSI X12 transaction sets such as 204, 211, 210, 310, 850, 856, and 997.
- EDI Translation Software: Familiarity with EDI translation software for managing electronic data interchange (EDI) transactions.
